Introductory Parenting Class:

Building Emotional Understanding

This is the class where it all begins for you.

Parents want warm and connected relationships with our children–and we may even have that, some of the time. The tricky part is how to stay connected through busy lives, and how to reconnect when things get hard: when emotions flare, tears flow, doors slam, or cooperation is hard to find.

This six-session course offers a complete introduction to Parenting By Connection. This approach helps kids with the emotional issues underlying their “off track” behavior. You will gain the skills and support to address difficult behavior, deepen your family connections, and bring ease, warmth and joy back to your relationships with your children — even on the hardest days. You’ll take home six new tools for resolving children’s off-track behavior, and for getting the support you need. Reflect on current parenting styles, learn parent-to-parent listening skills and develop a Family Connection Plan.
