Getting Your Family Organized

As a parent you always have at least 30 to 40 different things on your mind. Things you are keeping track of for your kids, for your family and maybe, maybe some for yourself as well. This amount of stuff in your head is a real burden.

But it doesn’t have to be that way. You can have a life where you keep track of all the things that you need to, without keeping it all in your head all the time. And you can do so, without forgetting the important things.

You can keep track of everything and be reminded on time of all that you need to be reminded of.

That is what I can help you accomplish. I have practiced an approach called “Getting Things Done®” 1 for many years now. This approach was developed by David Allen who literally wrote the book about it. If you want to read the book, I highly recommend that. You can find it here . And if you find that you need support to implement something like this in your life, contact me . Very few people figure it all out on their own. In particular when many things are pressing in.

I am also a parent educator and co-founder of Parent Connect East Bay. On top of that, I am an experienced educator and anthropologist who knows how to look at your unique family circumstances and help you figure a system of staying organized that honors how you and your family live.

You will meet another parent in me. I get what you are holding and will work with you to improve your life. I will not give you someone else’s life by implementing some foreign system.

Getting organized means that you create an overview of everything that you have going on in your life and your family’s life, and find out how you can best be reminded of those things at the right time.

And that means peace of mind for you. That means that when you spend time connecting with your kid, you can really connect. You won’t be distracted, because you won’t be afraid that you are forgetting something. You won’t.

If you want to get organized with my support, I will visit you at your home. Ideally I spend one whole day with you. That sounds like a lot to you, I know. It probably sounds darn near impossible.

You will get a lot of things done in that day. It won’t just be time out of time. And the clarity that you will gain in that one day will dramatically increase the speed with which you can get everything else done in your life. In other words, this is an investment of time that you will get back, probably within a week.

I can also schedule two days with you. I’d be happy to. It is best if these can be back to back. A two day stint will make sure that you have truly everything clarified. One day of work will likely leave you with some ‘homework.’

And if all that sounds impossible, let’s talk anyway. We will come up with a way of working that fits your schedule better. You will understand that you will have to be more independent in implementing this work, and that might be ok.
