Currys OurLives : Competition terms and conditions

The Promoter of this competition is DSG Retail Limited trading as Currys a Company registered in England (under number is 504877) whose registered office is at Maylands Avenue, Hemel Hempstead, Herts, HP2 7TG. Please DO NOT send entries to this address.
By agreeing to take part in the competition and uploading your entry to the competition you agree to be bound by these competition terms and conditions and the Currys OurLives Website Terms of Use ("Terms of Use"). This includes winners, runners up and finalists being required to participate in related publicity as required by the Promoter and to the same having their name and town of residence detailed on the Promoter's publicised winners list.
The competition is open to entrants who are individuals and residents of the United Kingdom who are aged 18 and over. The competition is not open to employees of the Promoter or its group of companies, nor to employees of Telegraph Media Group Limited, PMA Marketing Limited or any of their consultants and agents or anyone else professionally associated with this competition (all such persons known as "connected persons"). However, connected persons may upload photographs onto the Website for fun and those photos will be able to receive votes or ratings from other Website users.
All entries must be uploaded to the Promoter's the official competition website www.currysourlives.co.uk ("Website") and the closing date for entries is 23.59 on 11/08/07. Postal entries will not be accepted.
You will not be paid for any entries into the Competition.
Entry to the Competition is free.
Entrants must fully complete the registration form on the Website and upload their entries using their own username and password.
The competition is split into 5 different categories: Our People, Our Places, Our Events, Our Environment and OurLives in Motion.
As soon as possible after the closing date (11/08/07) our panel of judges will announce a total of 45 entries which will be selected to go forward to the competition final ("the finalists").
The finalists will be exhibited at an art gallery in London and the exhibition will be called the OurLives Exhibition.
The finalists will be notified of their prize and that their entry will be exhibited in the OurLives Exhibition either by an email to the email address submitted on their registration form within two weeks of the closing date, or via telephone depending on the preferred contact method as indicated in the registration process.
During the OurLives Exhibition panel of judges will select 5 runners up and 1 overall winner.
The OurLives Exhibition will take place over a period of days as determined by the Promoter.
The judges' decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
The winner and runner's up will be notified of their prize in person or by an email to the email address submitted on their registration form within two weeks of the closing date, or via telephone depending on the preferred contact method as indicated in the registration process.
Prizes are as follows:
The 45 finalists who are selected to display their entry at the OurLives Exhibition will each win an Olympus Digital Camera (MJU 760) and a Framed or Canvas print of their entry.
Five runners up will be selected from the 45 finalists and will each win an Olympus DSLR package
One winner will be selected from the 45 finalists and will win:-
1. an Olympus DSLR;
2. a signed David Bailey 'Jagger' print;
3. a 14 night holiday for 2 people to one of the world's most photographed locations as determined by the Promoter up to a value of £8000 including VAT. The winner must choose and book their holiday by 31 December 2007 and the holiday must be taken by 31 December 2008. The holiday location must be selected from a list determined by the Promoter and provided to the winner. The holiday may include: return flights, accommodation on up to a bed and breakfast basis and foreign transfers. The holiday prize will exclude UK transfers and travel insurance. The holiday must be booked by the Promoters consultants PMA Marketing Limited. To the extent the full prize value is not used the balance will lapse. To the extent the holiday value exceeds the prize value the winner must pay for the excess. If the winner cancels the holiday at any time the winner will not be entitled to a refund of any deposit or sums paid and the entitlement to the holiday prize will lapse.
Subject to the Promoter reserving the right to substitute a prize with another of equal or greater value or terminate, amend, extend or shorten the competition period at any time and without notice, prizes are as stated and cannot be modified, substituted for a cash payment or transferred to another person.
Illegible, incomplete and fraudulent entries will be invalidated and removed from the competition. Entries posted in breach of our Terms of Use will be invalidated and removed from the competition.
Maximum of 20 uploads (entries) per person.
Bulk entries made from trade, consumer groups or third parties will not be accepted.
The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries lost, delayed, or incomplete.

Data Protection Act. If you submit an entry to this competition, the information you provide will be held on a computer and may be checked with fraud prevention agencies, and if fraud is suspected we will record this and those details will be shared with other subscribing organisations. Any sensitive information obtained will only be processed in order to provide the service requested. Your personal data will be treated in confidence and will not be disclosed to any third parties for their marketing purposes unless you agree otherwise during your registration process. Under the terms of the Data Protection Act you have the right to obtain a copy of the information held about you upon payment of the appropriate fee.

Currys OurLives : Terms of use

By using or visiting this website www.currysourlives.co.uk (“the Website”) you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and the terms and conditions applicable to the OurLives Competition (“Competition”). If you do not agree to these Terms of Use do not use the Website.
The Website is operated by PMA Marketing Limited on behalf of DSG Retail Limited, a company registered in England under number 504877 and whose registered office is at Maylands Avenue, Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, HP2 7TG (“DSG”).
DSG may now or in the future permit you and other users to upload and publish to the Website photographs or other materials and content (“the Entries”).
These Terms of Use apply to all users of the Website. The Website may contain links to third party websites that are not owned or controlled by us. We assume no responsibility for the content, private policies, or practices of any third party websites.
You agree that you are 18 years of age or older.
By agreeing to take part in the OurLives Competition on the Website, you agree to be bound by the rules of the Competition and any other rules specified by us from time to time and by the decisions of us, which are final in all matters relating to the competition.
We reserve the right to disqualify any entrant and/or winner and/or runner up in our sole discretion without notice in accordance with our competition rules.
We grant you the permission to use the Website in accordance with these Terms of Use provided that; you will not alter or modify any part of the Website other than is reasonably necessary to use the Website for the intended purpose; you will not copy or distribute any part of the Website without our written consent; and you use the Website solely for non-commercial purposes.
In order to upload Entries onto the Website you will have to create an account. You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account and you are solely responsible for the activity that occurs on your account - you must keep your password secure. You must never use another's account without their permission. We accept no responsibility for unauthorised use of your account but if you suspect such unauthorised use you must let us know immediately.
This Website is made available for your own personal use. The Website must not be used for any illegal or unauthorised purpose. When using the Website you must comply with all relevant UK laws and International laws, including the local laws in your country of residence.
You are personally responsible for any images you post or upload and/or display on this Website. By posting, uploading and/or displaying such images on the Website you automatically grant other users of the Website the right to access such images
We reserve the right to remove any materials (your images, contact details etc.) from the Website which have been the subject of complaint from another user or are otherwise found by us to be unsuitable for the Website.

You must not in any way restrict or inhibit any other person's use of the Website.
You must not submit Entries owned by a third party without consent from that third party.
You must not submit Entries which expressly or impliedly infers that such Entries are sponsored or endorsed by the Website.
You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Website, any networks, servers or computer systems connected with the Website.
You must not attempt to impersonate any other user of the Website.
By posting, uploading and/or displaying images on this Website you confirm that all images supplied by you have either been created solely by you outside of any employment or contractual duties; or licensed to you by the owner or owners of the copyright and other intellectual property rights in the images.
You (or your licensors) will retain full ownership of the intellectual property rights in your Entries.
